Can this day get worse? I'm sure it can, but I don't really want to see it try.
The vet just called.
They've done their blood tests, and they should get the results back tomorrow.
However, he has a heart murmur. "On a scale of 1 to 6, severity about a 4." The implication was it's not life-threatening in itself, but combined with other things could make it complicated. Meanwhile, they're keeping him in overnight for observation.
Liz is coming over to keep me company. I think I need it kind of desperately.

Today marks the third day in a row I've woken up at like 3am, and been more or less unable to get back to sleep.

Gragh. It seems that Chris has given me his cold. Or I've developed something similar on my own, or something. No real snuffly noses, but plenty of muscle aches and exhaustion, along with occasional coughing.
