There's a distinct difference between "work safe" and "work friendly". Given that I listen to music via headphones, no music is really "non work safe", a comment on its content. But stuff that distracts me is "non work friendly", a comment on its sound.
I should be in bed. Or at least heading that way.
I've spent the last five work days trying to set up a server. Maybe it'll be done by the start of next week. I can dream.
I may be misremembering Juno, but having re-watched Clueless in the last couple of days, I discovered that the two films share a fairly similar shot: a close up of a row of teenage boys walking/running along while All The Young Dudes by Mott The Hoople plays.

EDIT: Is it bad that I'm tempted to start writing about Interpretive Dance as an alternative method for "Document an implementation plan"? I mean, what the Hell am I supposed to say for that? Task 7: Document an Implementation Plan Candidate Technique: Interpretive Dance Description: The steps required for implementation are elicited, before being converted to an interpretive dance performed by team members on presentation day. Reason for non-use: No-one in the team is a particularly skilled choreographer. Lack of permanency, accompanied by difficulty of conversion to paper form. Blatant insanity of idea. |

| | Every Time We Touch, Cascada | ] | Perhaps killing explorer.exe wasn't the wisest thing to have done. -Mmaster
EDIT: That was a reasonably quick and easy fix. Since I already had a Task Manager window open, I used its Run... menu option to restart it. The Start Menu and taskbar returned; the icons/buttons got mixed up, but whatever.
I'd killed it because it was using ~48% of my CPU and 100,000+ RAM for doing nothing, with no apparent end in sight. I had the expectation that doing so would either reload explorer as an Essential System Process, or reboot the system. But apparently the Essential System Processes have changed since I last paid attention. |
