Dad: Are you going to get me one? Mm: I am so very very tempted...
...Meanwhile, Chris didn't actually know what a Mills & Boon novel was... -Mmaster
EDIT: I did a quick poll of random guy friends. Steson, Shaun, Stevie, and Aman didn't know what it was. I don't remember if I asked Matt or not. Stevie said it 'sounded familiar', but was unable to place it. Will, however, did know what they were. Regardless, it's beginning to sound like less of a "Chris is naive" thing and more of a "Males are too smart to know about dumb romance novels" thing.
I still get a giggle out of the thought of small children purchasing them for their Dad for Fathers' Day, though. |

| | Getcha Back, The Beach Boys | ] | I was skimming the catalogue for The St. George Open Air Cinema this evening. I was briefly tempted by the thought, till I looked at the price tag; $23 for a movie? (PS: The Moonlight Cinema is a much better deal: $13 concession; however, the good films seem to be running when I'm unavailable for whatever reason.)
However, on the inside back page of the catalogue was this ad:

So, why is this notable? It's hilarious, that's why. Largely due to the footnote:

I can just see some guy planning out the perfect evening, at vast cost, only to be stymied at the gate by the No Alcohol policy at the door.
...Or maybe it's just that I'm weird. Anyway, it's bedtime. -Mmaster |

| | Southernmost, The Lucksmiths | ] | This is a section of one of the pages of the David Jones Christmas catalogue.

Correct me if I'm interpreting this wrongly, which is quite possible. ...But...
$300 for an empty, pink, box? Who? Why? -Mmaster |
