I have the album that that song is from. Sure, the lyrics irritate me, but it's boppy, and catchy, and Chris and I smirk at each other every time we hear it.
The album is titled Fearless. Part of the artist's notes follow (I'm sparing you the creative formatting; you'll thank me) This album is called Fearless, and I guess I'd like to clarify why we chose that as the title. To me, "fearless" is not the absence of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. ...No.
Define:fearless - "without fear"
What you're describing is "brave". Define:brave - "to meet or face courageously"
True, they can be (and sometimes are) used as synonyms (in fact, the dictionary link for 'fearless' suggests 'brave' as a synonym); but the meanings vary. "Brave" implies acknowledgement but dismissal of fear - "Fearless" means that it was never there in the first place.
