I used to know this boy who took notes in a book But he ripped out all the pages before I got a look At all the words he scribbled, at all the lines he filled But the ink stains on his fingers told me he was skilled At capturing a feeling that most of us just miss The simple pain of living, with goodbyes on our lips I found one of the pages crumpled by her bed And this is how it read
It's not like I am weak Or that I don't know how to leave It's just that every time you cheat You bring me closer to defeat Until there's nothing left to love Until there's nothing left to say I know that you need help But even I can't save you from yourself -Japanese Gum, Her Space Holiday
Parents and I went shopping today: Chatswood, then met my grandmother for lunch at Warriwood.
While we were at Chatswood, I popped in to see Steve from Gadget Central. I used to spend a fair bit of time hanging around when he worked at the Leichhardt store; but since it shut down, he's been transferred. It was entertaining; we caught up on what'd been going on. They still have the Glow'n'Go hats, of which they have managed to sell a single unit throughout all instances of the chain anywhere. And now they have worse: a Singing Christmas Band, remote controlled, originally something like $45, now down to $15. There's a prize for the store that sells the most of them. Some of his comments were... Interesting. Like him describing his son as "So special, he's in Anger Management at age 7". And noting that he now has a girlfriend with Multiple Personality Disorder; as he said, "This won't surprise you, since it's something that you know I'd do." Yeah, I know 'normal' people.
I have two cakes to bake today, but currently cannot be bothered moving. Zzzzzz.... -Mmaster |
