Today parents, Chris and I went to Auburn. First stop: purchasing the green version of the blue pattern discussed last week. I have a carpet! Now we just have to find the time to dismantle and reassemble my room...
We then wandered over to Hardly Normal and spent far more than we should have (though the items were discounted)...
Shiniest item purchased was a mini-PC that PC Authority had thought was good (the HP Compaq CQ2000); it's amazingly fast compared to Connor, though it has basically nothing on it at this point (which helps) - I bought a 2 Gig stick of RAM and installed it before I booted the machine. Since I plan it to be a media PC / backup server, I also picked up a 750GB drive and an HDTV tuner. It's now copying my media files off my portable hard drive; once that finishes, I'll get it to run a daily (or something) sync across from Connor. The only negative I've noticed thus far is it doesn't have a recovery disk - if Windows dies, I don't know what options are available.
Work tomorrow. Whee...
